The Science of Belonging and Growth: Understanding Our Own Biases with Diversity Intelligence

Research shows that today's Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) programs are really hit and miss.  A large part of the reason is that they rely on the same old silo'd approaches that don't tie D&I into everyday organizational challenges.  When we make hiring mistakes, lose good people or promote the wrong person, there is invariably a negative impact on culture, a cost in money and on time. These are all culture issues that drive straight through Diversity & Inclusion.
Recognizing this, Dr Leeno Karumanchery and the team at MESH/diversity, created the Diversity Intelligence
Platform; the world's only D&I instrument that actually allows forward thinking leaders to measure, benchmark and drive inclusion without disrupting an organization's existing culture. By marrying the newest technology with scientifically validated and reliable metrics, MESH empowers their clients with the insights, tools and resources they need to design and drive healthy cultures where the best people want to work, will stay and can thrive.
In this powerful session, Dr. Karumanchery will move away from simplistic approaches to diversity as difference, to help participants understand how D&I, when done well, can help embed meaningful, self-sustaining culture change that drives real value for your culture
Leeno will lead the participants through an engaging and informative exploration of:
(A) The real science of D&I
(B) What the REAL D&I challenge is, and why standard D&I solutions usually fail
(C) What the impact is on minoritized people, and women in Technology specifically
(D) How Tech Companies can look to technology to solve their D&I challenges
